When BBQGuys asked HLGstudio to design their new Atlanta Office and flagship showroom at the next generation mixed-use development called Halycon in Forsyth County, Georgia, one design story elevated itself intermediately. BBQGuys' culture reflects an outdoor family lifestyle anchored by gathering around good food. The central commons space is located at the entry on level 2. The commons is designed to reflect an outdoor pavilion creating a sense of being outside. The use of natural wood finish accents and outdoor styled furniture carries the outdoor experience into the office environment as well as the retail showroom located on the first floor. The showroom provides a place for customers to interact with designers, get hands on with products, and enhances their cooking skills. Our client's CEO desired employees and customers to experience a sense of belonging when coming to the office and showroom, reflecting BBQGuys' core culture of togetherness.
