The Hub on 30A

The Hub at Prominence is planned as a festival-style gathering place featuring restaurants, entertainment and shopping along Walton County’s Highway 30A,appealing to families vacationing along the Gulf Coast beaches. The master plan for the 3 acre site, developed by Lew Oliver and DAG, combines a variety of small retail spaces with larger restaurant spaces anchoring each corner of the development. An event lawn provides seating for outdoor concerts and movies, and the centrally located Pavilion features a multipurpose stage, a 25 foot wide outdoor movie screen, and a screened porch with a fireplace and big screen TV’s.

Among the tenants in the smaller retail locations will be the Vortex arcade and gaming center, Red’s Chicken Shack, Hughey’s General Store, Mr. Freeze, Crave Roadside Burgers, and Mile Marker Fifteen Tacos and Tequila. DAG has been responsible for the design and construction documents for each separate building, the central Pavilion, the West Pavilion, and the prototype shell design for each structure type.

The Hub is not only the commercial district for the Town of Prominence, an 80 acre development with 149 single family homes and more than 400 townhome units, but will also serve as an entertainment destination for the entire area.
