Project Manager

The Project Manager assumes full responsibility for project overview, monitoring and control of the project delivery process, and coordination of project design and technical teams throughout all phases of the project.  The Project Manager is responsible for enhancing existing client relationships as well as supporting project principals in developing new client and industry partners.

Responsibilities for a project manager include:

  • Provide project leadership within the studio

  • Assist with coordination of project proposals and contracts

  • Prepare agreements for and administer control of all subcontracted consultants

  • Establish project task schedule and manpower requirements

  • Develop and maintain staff budgets consistent with the contract

  • Conduct client programming interviews

  • Develop, implement and manage the design process from start to finish

  • Possess knowledge of relevant corporate workplace codes and regulations

  • Attend and direct all project meetings in-house, with the client, subcontract consultants and the contractor

  • Establish and maintain relationship with the client to ensure continuous client satisfaction with quality of service

  • Monitor project accounting with the Corporate Workplace Principals

  • Provide coaching and skill development to Junior staff

Skill sets that will make you a successful team member at HLGstudio include:

  • Minimum of Bachelor of Architecture or Interior Design (from CIDA accredited institution)

  • 10-15 years design-oriented experience in architectural or interior design firm

  • 7 years+ of Corporate Workplace experience preferred

  • Knowledge of architecture and/or interior design planning, technical detailing and construction

  • Excellent verbal and written communications and organizational skills

  • Bluebeam Proficient; Microsoft Office required

  • Proficient in REVIT – rendering skills a plus

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work

  • Personal desire for learning and professional development

  • Proven track record in successful corporate workplace-related projects
